30-Minute Beef Stir Fry

Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 carrot, thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked white rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. Step 1: In a bowl, toss the beef slices with cornstarch, soy sauce, and a pinch of salt and pepper, and let it marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Step 2: Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Step 3: Add the marinated beef to the skillet and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked through, then remove from the pan and set aside.
  4. Step 4: In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of oil and stir-fry the garlic and ginger for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Step 5: Add the bell pepper, broccoli, and carrot to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  6. Step 6: Return the beef to the skillet along with the oyster sauce, and toss everything together to combine well.
  7. Step 7: Cook for an additional 2 minutes, stirring frequently, until everything is heated through.
  8. Step 8: Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
  9. Step 9: Serve the stir fry over cooked white rice.
