BBQ Ribs

Ingredients

  • 2 racks of pork baby back ribs
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Step 2: In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper to create a dry rub.
  3. Step 3: Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and pat them dry with paper towels.
  4. Step 4: Rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the ribs.
  5. Step 5: Place the ribs on a large piece of aluminum foil, drizzle with olive oil, and wrap them tightly.
  6. Step 6: Place the wrapped ribs on a baking sheet and bake in the oven for 2.5 hours.
  7. Step 7: In a saucepan, combine the barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, honey, and water. Simmer over low heat, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
  8. Step 8: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  9. Step 9: Remove the ribs from the oven, unwrap them, and place them on the grill.
  10. Step 10: Baste the ribs generously with the barbecue sauce and grill for 10-15 minutes, turning and basting frequently, until the ribs are caramelized and slightly charred.
  11. Step 11: Let the ribs rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
