Chicken Tacos

Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1/4 cup crumbled queso fresco
  • Lime wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Cut the chicken breasts into small strips.
  2. Step 2: In a bowl, mix olive oil, lime juice, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Step 3: Add the chicken strips to the bowl and toss to coat evenly with the marinade.
  4. Step 4: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook the chicken strips for 6-8 minutes until fully cooked, stirring occasionally.
  5. Step 5: Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until pliable.
  6. Step 6: Assemble the tacos by placing a portion of chicken on each tortilla.
  7. Step 7: Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, fresh cilantro, and crumbled queso fresco.
  8. Step 8: Serve with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over the tacos.
