Ingredients
- 8 oz chow mein noodles
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 cup sliced bell peppers (red, green, yellow)
- 1 cup sliced carrots
- 1 cup bean sprouts
- 1/2 cup sliced green onions
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Step 1: Cook the chow mein noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Step 2: In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
- Step 3: Add the minced garlic and stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Step 4: Add the sliced bell peppers, carrots, and mushrooms. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until they start to soften.
- Step 5: Add the bean sprouts and green onions to the skillet. Stir-fry for an additional 2 minutes.
- Step 6: Add the cooked chow mein noodles to the skillet. Toss everything together to combine.
- Step 7: Pour the soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), and sesame oil over the noodles. Toss to coat evenly.
- Step 8: Season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes until everything is heated through.
- Step 9: Serve hot and enjoy your Chow Mein!
