- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup hot sauce (such as Frank's RedHot)
- 1 tablespoon honey
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and a wire rack on top.
- Step 2: Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
- Step 3: In a large bowl, mix the baking powder, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and black pepper.
- Step 4: Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated with the seasoning mixture.
- Step 5: Arrange the wings in a single layer on the prepared wire rack.
- Step 6: Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, turning halfway through, until the wings are crispy and golden brown.
- Step 7: While the wings are baking, melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat.
- Step 8: Stir in the hot sauce and honey, mixing until well combined to create the wing sauce.
- Step 9: Once the wings are done, transfer them to a large bowl and pour the wing sauce over them.
- Step 10: Toss the wings until they are fully coated in the sauce, then serve immediately.
