Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup ketchup (for glazing)
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, chopped onion, minced garlic, 1/4 cup ketchup, barbecue sauce, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, thyme, and oregano.
- Step 3: Mix the ingredients gently until just combined; do not overmix.
- Step 4: Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan or on a lined baking sheet.
- Step 5: In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and 1/4 cup ketchup to create the glaze.
- Step 6: Spread the glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
- Step 7: Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Step 8: Remove from the oven and let the meatloaf rest for about 10 minutes before slicing.
- Step 9: Serve warm, and enjoy your glazed meatloaf!
