Ingredients
- 1 large cauliflower, cut into florets
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 2 green onions, sliced
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Step 2: In a large bowl, mix the flour, water, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper to form a smooth batter.
- Step 3: Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, ensuring it is fully coated, and place it on the prepared baking sheet.
- Step 4: Bake the coated cauliflower in the preheated oven for 20 minutes until golden and crisp.
- Step 5: While the cauliflower is baking, prepare the glaze by combining gochujang, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and sesame oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Step 6: Stir the glaze mixture constantly until it thickens slightly, then remove it from the heat.
- Step 7: Once the cauliflower is done baking, remove it from the oven and brush each floret generously with the prepared gochujang glaze.
- Step 8: Return the glazed cauliflower to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the glaze is bubbly and caramelized.
- Step 9: Remove the cauliflower from the oven and sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.
