Ingredients
- 1 large head of cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup Korean BBQ sauce
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
- 2 green onions, chopped
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Step 1: In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, water, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper to create a smooth batter.
- Step 2: Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, ensuring it is fully coated.
- Step 3: Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat.
- Step 4: Carefully add the battered cauliflower florets to the hot oil, frying them in batches to avoid overcrowding the pan.
- Step 5: Fry the cauliflower until they are golden brown and crispy, approximately 4-5 minutes per batch.
- Step 6: Remove the fried cauliflower with a slotted spoon and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Step 7: In a separate saucepan, warm the Korean BBQ sauce over low heat.
- Step 8: Once all the cauliflower is fried, toss them in the warm BBQ sauce until fully coated.
- Step 9: Transfer the coated cauliflower bites to a serving platter.
- Step 10: Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
