Korean BBQ Cauliflower Wings

Ingredients

  • 1 large head of cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup Korean BBQ sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Step 2: In a large bowl, combine the flour, water, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper to form a smooth batter.
  3. Step 3: Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, ensuring it is fully coated, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Step 4: Lightly spray the coated cauliflower with cooking spray to help them crisp up.
  5. Step 5: Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, turning halfway through, until the cauliflower is golden brown and crispy.
  6. Step 6: While the cauliflower is baking, heat the Korean BBQ sauce in a small saucepan over low heat until warm.
  7. Step 7: Once baked, remove the cauliflower from the oven and transfer to a large bowl. Pour the warm BBQ sauce over the cauliflower and toss to coat evenly.
  8. Step 8: Return the coated cauliflower to the baking sheet and bake for an additional 10 minutes to caramelize the sauce.
  9. Step 9: Remove from the oven and sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.
