Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken tenders
- 3 tablespoons white miso paste
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- Sesame seeds for garnish
- Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Step 1: In a small bowl, whisk together the miso paste, maple syrup, soy sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and grated ginger until smooth.
- Step 2: Place the chicken tenders in a shallow dish or a zip-top bag and pour the miso-maple mixture over them, making sure each tender is well coated.
- Step 3: Marinate the chicken in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
- Step 4: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Step 5: Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken tenders for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Step 6: Transfer the seared chicken tenders to the prepared baking sheet and brush them with any remaining marinade.
- Step 7: Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) and the glaze is caramelized.
- Step 8: Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Step 9: Garnish the chicken tenders with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
