One-Pan Ground Beef and Cabbage Stir Fry

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium head of green cabbage, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Step 1: 1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Step 2: 2. Add the ground beef to the pan and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Step 3: 3. Drain excess fat from the pan if necessary, leaving a small amount for flavor.
  4. Step 4: 4. Add the sliced onion, minced garlic, and ginger to the skillet. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until the onion is translucent.
  5. Step 5: 5. Add the chopped cabbage to the pan and stir well to combine with the beef mixture.
  6. Step 6: 6. Pour in the soy sauce and sesame oil. Stir everything together and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until the cabbage is wilted and tender.
  7. Step 7: 7. Season with red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper to taste.
  8. Step 8: 8. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
