Oven-Baked Turkey Meatballs in Marinara

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • Olive oil spray or drizzle

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, onion, garlic, egg, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix until just combined.
  3. Step 3: Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Step 4: Lightly spray or drizzle the meatballs with olive oil to help them brown.
  5. Step 5: Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are cooked through and browned on the outside.
  6. Step 6: While the meatballs are baking, heat the marinara sauce in a saucepan over medium heat.
  7. Step 7: Once the meatballs are done, add them to the saucepan with the marinara sauce and gently stir to coat the meatballs.
  8. Step 8: Serve the meatballs in marinara over pasta, on sub rolls, or on their own, garnished with additional parsley or Parmesan if desired.
