This pan-seared salmon recipe features perfectly crispy skin and a buttery garlic finish for a delightful and healthy meal.
Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
Instructions
- Step 1: Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and black pepper.
- Step 2: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Step 3: Place the salmon fillets skin-side up in the skillet and sear for about 4 minutes, until a golden crust forms.
- Step 4: Flip the fillets and add lemon slices around them in the skillet.
- Step 5: Add unsalted butter and minced garlic to the skillet, cooking for another 3-4 minutes until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Step 6: Spoon the melted butter and garlic over the salmon as it cooks for added flavor.
- Step 7: Remove the skillet from heat and garnish the salmon with chopped parsley and dill before serving.
