A classic pecan pie with a rich, sweet filling and a crunchy pecan topping, perfect for any festive occasion.
Ingredients
- 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups pecan halves
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine the corn syrup, granulated sugar, eggs, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until well blended.
- Step 3: Place the unbaked pie crust in a 9-inch pie pan and crimp the edges if desired.
- Step 4: Spread the pecan halves evenly in the bottom of the pie crust.
- Step 5: Pour the filling mixture over the pecans, ensuring they are mostly covered but remain evenly distributed.
- Step 6: Place the pie on the center rack of the preheated oven.
- Step 7: Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, or until the filling is set and slightly puffed in the center.
- Step 8: Remove the pie from the oven and allow it to cool completely on a wire rack before serving.
