Ingredients

  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine the corn syrup, granulated sugar, eggs, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until well blended.
  3. Step 3: Place the unbaked pie crust in a 9-inch pie pan and crimp the edges if desired.
  4. Step 4: Spread the pecan halves evenly in the bottom of the pie crust.
  5. Step 5: Pour the filling mixture over the pecans, ensuring they are mostly covered but remain evenly distributed.
  6. Step 6: Place the pie on the center rack of the preheated oven.
  7. Step 7: Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, or until the filling is set and slightly puffed in the center.
  8. Step 8: Remove the pie from the oven and allow it to cool completely on a wire rack before serving.
