Ingredients
- 4 bone-in pork chops (1-inch thick)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried)
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried)
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Step 2: Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, rosemary, and thyme.
- Step 3: In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Step 4: Once the oil is hot, add the pork chops and sear them for about 4-5 minutes on each side until they are golden brown.
- Step 5: Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set them aside on a plate.
- Step 6: In the same skillet, add the butter and let it melt. Then, add the chicken broth and apple cider vinegar, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
- Step 7: Return the pork chops to the skillet, spooning some of the sauce over the top.
- Step 8: Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the pork chops reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
- Step 9: Remove the skillet from the oven and let the pork chops rest for 5 minutes before serving.
- Step 10: Serve the pork chops with the pan sauce drizzled over the top.
