Pork Chops

Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in pork chops (1-inch thick)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried)
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Step 2: Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, rosemary, and thyme.
  3. Step 3: In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  4. Step 4: Once the oil is hot, add the pork chops and sear them for about 4-5 minutes on each side until they are golden brown.
  5. Step 5: Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set them aside on a plate.
  6. Step 6: In the same skillet, add the butter and let it melt. Then, add the chicken broth and apple cider vinegar, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
  7. Step 7: Return the pork chops to the skillet, spooning some of the sauce over the top.
  8. Step 8: Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the pork chops reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  9. Step 9: Remove the skillet from the oven and let the pork chops rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  10. Step 10: Serve the pork chops with the pan sauce drizzled over the top.
