Ingredients

  • ⅔ pre-made pie crust
  • 4 slices of bacon
  • ⅔ cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • ⅛ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup chopped onion
  • 2 ⅔ large eggs
  • 1 cups heavy cream
  • ⅛ teaspoon salt

  • ⅛ teaspoon ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Step 2: Fit the pie crust into a 9-inch pie plate, pressing it firmly against the sides and bottom; trim the excess.
  3. Step 3: Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, then drain and crumble.
  4. Step 4: Sprinkle the crumbled bacon, Swiss cheese, Parmesan cheese, and chopped onion evenly over the bottom of the pie crust.
  5. Step 5: In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, salt, white pepper, and nutmeg until well combined.
  6. Step 6: Pour the egg mixture over the bacon and cheese in the pie crust.
  7. Step 7: Place the quiche on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the filling is set and the top is golden brown.
  8. Step 8: Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before slicing to serve.
