Ribs

Ingredients

  • 2 racks of baby back ribs
  • 1 cup of barbecue sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of paprika
  • 1 tablespoon of garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon of onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
  • 1 teaspoon of mustard powder

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Step 2: Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better flavor and tenderness.
  3. Step 3: In a bowl, mix together the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, cayenne pepper, and mustard powder to create a dry rub.
  4. Step 4: Rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the ribs.
  5. Step 5: Wrap each rack of ribs tightly in aluminum foil, making sure they are sealed well to retain moisture.
  6. Step 6: Place the wrapped ribs on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 2.5 to 3 hours.
  7. Step 7: Remove the ribs from the oven and carefully unwrap the foil. Be cautious of the steam.
  8. Step 8: Brush a generous amount of barbecue sauce on both sides of the ribs.
  9. Step 9: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Place the ribs on the grill and cook for an additional 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally and basting with more barbecue sauce.
  10. Step 10: Once the ribs are caramelized and heated through, remove them from the grill.
  11. Step 11: Let the ribs rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
