These slow cooker meatballs are tender, flavorful, and simmered in a rich marinara sauce for a comforting and easy-to-make meal.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Step 1: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, milk, egg, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Step 2: Mix the ingredients until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Step 3: Shape the mixture into 1 1/2-inch meatballs, placing them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Step 4: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat and brown the meatballs on all sides, about 5 minutes.
- Step 5: Transfer the browned meatballs to a slow cooker and pour the marinara sauce over them.
- Step 6: Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours until the meatballs are cooked through and tender.
- Step 7: Before serving, sprinkle the meatballs with chopped fresh parsley for a fresh touch.
