A comforting and classic dish of tender meatballs simmered in marinara sauce, served over a bed of spaghetti and topped with fresh Parmesan.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 24 ounces marinara sauce
- 12 ounces spaghetti
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese, for serving
Instructions
- Step 1: In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and black pepper.
- Step 2: Mix until well combined and form into 1-inch meatballs.
- Step 3: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and add the meatballs.
- Step 4: Cook the meatballs until browned on all sides, about 8 minutes.
- Step 5: Pour the marinara sauce over the meatballs, reduce heat to low, and let simmer for 20 minutes.
- Step 6: Meanwhile, cook spaghetti according to package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente, then drain.
- Step 7: Serve the meatballs and sauce over the cooked spaghetti.
- Step 8: Garnish with fresh parsley and additional grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
