Ingredients
- 2 pounds chicken wings
- 1 cup cranberry sauce
- 1/4 cup hot sauce (like Frank's RedHot)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)
- Chopped green onions for garnish
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Step 2: In a large bowl, combine the cranberry sauce, hot sauce, soy sauce, honey, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using). Mix until well combined.
- Step 3: Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss them in the sauce until they are evenly coated.
- Step 4: Place the wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat in a single layer.
- Step 5: Bake the wings in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until they are crispy and cooked through.
- Step 6: While the wings are baking, you can simmer any remaining sauce in a small saucepan over low heat until it thickens slightly.
- Step 7: Once the wings are done, remove them from the oven and toss them in the thickened sauce for extra flavor.
- Step 8: Serve the spicy cranberry chicken wings hot, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
