Ingredients
- 1 large head of green cabbage
- 1 pound ground pork
- 1 cup cooked white rice
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons sriracha sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
- 2 green onions, chopped
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Step 2: Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Carefully remove the core from the cabbage and gently peel away the leaves.
- Step 3: Blanch the cabbage leaves in the boiling water for 2-3 minutes until they are pliable, then drain and set aside.
- Step 4: In a large bowl, combine the ground pork, cooked rice, chopped onion, minced garlic, soy sauce, ground ginger, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine.
- Step 5: Lay a cabbage leaf flat, place a small amount of the pork mixture in the center, and fold the sides over the filling. Roll up tightly and place seam-side down in a baking dish.
- Step 6: Repeat the filling and rolling process with the remaining cabbage leaves and pork mixture.
- Step 7: Pour the chicken broth into the bottom of the baking dish, cover it with aluminum foil, and bake for 45-50 minutes until the rolls are cooked through.
- Step 8: In a small saucepan, combine honey, sriracha sauce, and rice vinegar. Heat over low heat until the sauce is warm and well combined.
- Step 9: Once the cabbage rolls are done, remove them from the oven and drizzle the sriracha honey sauce over the top.
- Step 10: Sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
