Ingredients
- 8 slices of thick-cut bread
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Maple syrup, for serving
Instructions
- Step 1: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
- Step 2: In a separate bowl, mix the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar and lemon zest until smooth.
