Ingredients
- 12 large jalapeño peppers
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional)
- Cooking spray or olive oil for greasing
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Step 2: Cut the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes for less heat.
- Step 3: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, chopped green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Step 4: Using a spoon or a piping bag, fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture.
- Step 5: If using breadcrumbs, sprinkle them over the stuffed jalapeños for added texture.
- Step 6: Place the stuffed jalapeños on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or lightly greased with cooking spray.
- Step 7: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the jalapeños are tender and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Step 8: Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
