Ingredients
- 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 cups broccoli florets
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/3 cup teriyaki sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 2 green onions, sliced
Instructions
- Step 1: In a medium bowl, combine the beef slices with soy sauce and cornstarch, mixing well to coat the beef evenly.
- Step 2: Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Step 3: Add the beef to the skillet, spreading it out in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes until browned, then remove from the skillet and set aside.
- Step 4: In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil and the broccoli florets.
- Step 5: Stir-fry the broccoli for 2 minutes, then add the water and cover the skillet to steam the broccoli for an additional 2 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Step 6: Uncover the skillet and add the minced garlic and grated ginger, stirring for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Step 7: Return the beef to the skillet and pour in the teriyaki sauce, stirring to coat the beef and broccoli evenly.
- Step 8: Continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and everything is heated through.
- Step 9: Remove from heat and sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.
