Viral Pink Salt Chicken Alfredo (The “Pink Salt Trick” Pasta)

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon pink salt
  • 8 ounces fettuccine pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Step 1: 1. Start by seasoning the chicken breasts on both sides with pink salt. Let them sit for about 15-20 minutes to absorb the flavor.
  2. Step 2: 2. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta and set aside.
  3. Step 3: 3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and golden brown. Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest before slicing it into strips.
  4. Step 4: 4. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Step 5: 5. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Continue to stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
  6. Step 6: 6. Add the cooked fettuccine to the sauce and toss to coat. If the sauce is too thick, gradually add some reserved pasta water until the desired consistency is achieved.
  7. Step 7: 7. Add the sliced chicken on top of the pasta and gently toss to combine.
  8. Step 8: 8. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley and additional Parmesan cheese if desired.
