Ingredients
- 1 pound ground pork
- 1/4 cup shrimp, finely chopped
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 1 package wonton wrappers
- 8 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups bok choy, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped cilantro for garnish
- Sliced chili for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Step 1: In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork, chopped shrimp, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Step 2: Take a wonton wrapper and place a teaspoon of the filling in the center. Wet the edges of the wrapper with water, fold it in half to form a triangle, and press to seal. Bring the two corners together and pinch to seal. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.
- Step 3: In a large pot, bring chicken broth to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Step 4: Add the prepared wontons to the boiling broth and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until they float to the top and are cooked through.
- Step 5: Add the chopped bok choy to the pot and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until wilted.
- Step 6: Taste the soup and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.
- Step 7: Serve hot, garnished with chopped cilantro and sliced chili if desired.
